Police arrest suspects for dagga possession

The police have arrested 192 suspects in connection with 134 different cases of unlawful possession of dagga weighing 234 kilogrammes from May 2016 to date.
According to a press release from Botswana Police Service, 180 of the suspects are Batswana and 12 foreigners.
They were arrested in Mochudi, Tlokweng, Gaborone and Metsimotlhabe.
It says police investigations revealed that the drug dealers are targeting the youth and students from junior secondary schools up to tertiary institutions.
The police have vowed to continue stepping up their operation on the abuse and to deal with the social ill. Ends
