Vee remains favourite

Odirile ‘Vee Wa Mampela’ Sento gave revellers an excellent performance at 'the Carnival show',confirming that he is still the country’s favourite as he stole the hearts of many.
The robust, energetic Vee, who is always diligent and exciting in his shows rubberstamped his love for his music and country, at the event dubbed, ‘The Carnival’,  which marked the close of the series of the President's day celebrations which began this month, bringing a hype into the country, as Botswana is also preparing for its golden jubilee.
Vee began his performance with the hit song No suffer then his latest album I do.
Vee proved his worth in music circles when he diligently performed songs from his old album titled Taku Taku which mesmerised fans to sing along with him and dance.
Vee also showed his old dancing styles as well as the latest steps as he was backed by revolt sterling dancers.
The event began as the street carnival, amazingly in the independence avenue street from Bontleng mall, passing the main mall till the other end of the northern route.
‘In this case, the lowbed trucks displayed Chinese, Cuban, Ghananian demostrations, fashion models, graduates on gowns, traditional attires and mascots.
According to the organisers, the Ministry of Youth Sport and Culture, director of Arts and Culture, Dineo Phuti, the event was held to showcase the diverse cultural heritage  in Botswana.
“The event was successfu. We had intentionally called the groups and Batswana to come together and showcase the unity, exhibit the love, peace and tranquillity which exist in our nation through music and other acts which bring us together as a nation. We also had other nations such as China, Cuba and Ghana joining us to prove that indeed we do not exist in isolation, hence such representation such as that in our country,” she said. Other acts included marvellous performances from Cuban salsa dance, Chinese martial arts act, the queen of dance’Slyzer’, Mafitlhakgosi, and Polka dance. ENDS
