Councillor appears for unlawful wounding

Lentsweletau councillor, Botokanyana Motoroko was on June 27 arraigned for unlawfully wounding of Councillor Molatedi Selala of Thamaga West in November last year.
The prosecutor, Mr Omphemetse Ntwaagae of Directorate of Public Prosecutions, appearing on behalf of Thato Dibeela made an application for the court to charge the accused.
However, he asked the court to reserve a plea as he had engaged an attorney who was not before court on the day of arraignment.
According to the charge sheet, the 53-year old chairperson of Molepolole-Lentsweletau Sub-council unlawfully wounded Councillor Selala by causing a laceration above his left eye at Kweneng District Council chambers. Ends
