Vee lands half million pula deal

ViB Mobile, a giant in development of consumer and enterprise mobile value added services, has signed a P500 000 deal with house-kwasa sensation, Odirile 'Vee' Sento.

The deal will give ViB Mobile exclusive digital distribution rights in Botswana to Vee’s upcoming album. "It will be available in all mobile network operators; Mascom, Orange and be Mobile” said Leroy Monaheng, chief executive officer of ViB Mobile.  

A press release from ViB Mobile says  the album will features Jah Praizh, Cassper Nyovest, Khuli Chana, Professor, Dj Tira and Naak Musiq, Dj Maphorisa and DJ Bucks (Uhuru), Trademark and African Roots.

It further says ViB Mobile has pioneered initiatives to make local music easily accessible through digital channels and the joint venture with Vee is a huge step in achieving that objective. Both parties are excited about this partnership.  

According to the release, between April 2015 and February this year, ViB Mobile awarded local artistes royalties of around  P400 000. As the highest selling artiste, Vee has led the pack, accumulating over a P100 000 from these digital downloads. 

“I am excited about this partnership, ViB Mobile has always supported my growth as an artiste and allowed my valued fans to easily access my music. The future of music is digital,” said Vee. 

ViB Mobile’s ringtones products and services include – Monophonic and Polyphonic Tones, True/MP3 Tones, Full Track Music and Caller Ringback Tunes (CRBT) and are distributed on all the local mobile network operators (beMOBILE, Mascom Wireless and Orange Botswana). ENDS
