Police probe accidents

Police in Tonota are investigating two separate accidents in which a 33 year- old man of Tonota and a 38 year- old woman of Shashe Bridge died over the weekend.
In an interview, Superintendent Kenanao Badumetse said in the first incident, the 33 year- old man was confirmed dead on arrival at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital after a vehicle he was driving collided with another one on Saturday near Mandunyane turn-off on May 21 in the morning.
The driver of the other vehicle was admitted at Nyangabwe Referral Hospital (NRH) with serious injuries together with two children who were passengers in one of the vehicles.
On the same day, a 38 year- old woman was involved in a train accident and was confirmed dead on arrival at NRH. She was in company of two children at Shashe Bridge was hit by the train while the children managed to escape unhurt. ENDS
