Finally Batswana has the chance to enjoy the 7D XD technology experience, with 7D Xrider cinema now open at Airport Junction Mall.
The managing director of the citizen owned company Hospitium 7D (Pty) Ltd Neo Mpofu said he saw the concept in South Africa and was inspired to bring the 7D Cinema which was the newest technology in virtual reality.
Mpofu brings in the new definition of recreation with the 7D cinema that includes a 3D movie supplemented by a simulated 4D environment that being added altogether provides a 7D.
While a 3D movie is played, various special effects are added and the spectators are able to feel a more realistic effect.
In the cabin, weather conditions, such as storms, lightning, rain or dispersion effects, slipping feet, are infused thus making it become a reality when combined with a 3D movie.
The chairs allow the implementation of numerous effects with water, jets, vibration, approaching of objects, snow, rain or smoke simulated in the air are really surprising elements, providing a sheer surprise and amusement, advanced in this multi-effect technology.
“You feel what you see as an entire simulator platform moves accordingly to what is happening on the screen as you watch any of the 10 movies with interactive 3D glasses.
At the same time over seven different special effects kick in that make our movie experience even more “real” and exhilarating,” said Mpofu.
Mpofu said their movies were suitable for the whole family, adding that the short movie rides took around 8 minutes and were quite intense.
She said the state-of-the-art Simulators infused in their movies were able to create an exciting lower-belly rollercoaster feeling and adventure for the audience.
“Our aim is to have the concept spread in other malls within Gaborone and we are also looking at reaching other areas such as Francistown and Maun,” she said. Ends
