Gospel group releases album

There is a common phrase that says first impressions last longer. This phrase according to Ezekiel Lekgasa, leader of a gospel group called Baratwa Ke Jeso, crossed their minds when working on their first album that is also named after the group.

He admitted that chances given to unknowns were very limited and that it was obvious that any product presented by a new comer was likely to be taken for granted or even rejected.

Lekgasa said the album Baratwa Ke Jeso, which consists of six songs has been influenced by the world and all the social ills that besiege it.

“The world today is torn apart by social ills such as crime, rape and corruption.

The only available option is to turn to God to seek his intervention,” he said.

Lekgasa said there was no doubt that the album would leave gospel lovers sitting on the edge of their seats as the group has given it all their best.

“What keeps us going is the fact that even though we come from different places, we seem to be sharing the same mission,” said the 27-yea -old young from Majwaneng.

Lekgasa urged the public to give upcoming artists the much needed support.

He said without any support young and upcoming artists would get discouraged.

For his part, Patrick Sebola, the youngest in the group, said of all the six tracks, he believed Ke metlholo ga ke ratwa le nna was the best track and has the potential to bring one closer to God.

“It teaches us not to forget that God accepts everyone even those feeling rejected in society.

This is the song that will change many lives,” said Sebola. ENDS
