Manhunt for murder suspect

The police in Tonota in collaboration with residents have launched a manhunt for a 25-year-old man, who is suspected to have murdered a 27-year-old woman on Sunday in Semotswane.
In an interview, Tonota Station Commander Superintendent Kenanao Badumetse said the two had a misunderstanding that ended up with the young woman losing her life.
Supt Badumentse explained that the accused person used a sharp weapon, suspected to be an axe to murder her.He revealed that the woman was from Semotswane and that the suspect resides in Borolong.
He said the woman’s corpse was at the Nyangabgwe mortuary waiting for post-mortem.
Supt Badumetse said his footprints led them to Francistown from Semotswane, but that the manhunt did not bear any fruit but were still hunting for him. Meanwhile, Central Police Station in
Francistown is investigating an incident where a bus caught fire on the A1 road on Friday and burnt to ashes.
Supt Lebalang Maniki said the bus was coming from Zimbabwe heading to Francistown, and said no one was injured and they were still establishing what caused the fire. ENDS
