Onneile scoops Miss Public Service North West region

The North West region held the Mr and Miss Public Service pageant over the weekend in Maun in which Onneile Mokane of Botswana Police Service and Oratile Ratau a teacher by profession emerged the Mr and Miss Public Service North West region respectively.
The first and second princesses were scooped by Kabelo Lesiela of Botswana Police Service and Miccarah Disang a nurse by profession respectively while the first and second prince were garnered by a Technician Solly Kachana and a Nurse Onkabetse Masilo respectively.
The winners beat their fellow contestants in a tough competition determined by formal wear, evening wear parade and questions and answer sessions therefore would represent the region at the finals of the national Mr and Miss Public Service contestant against other districts.
In his remarks, the Maun Administration Authority chairperson Gaokgakala Letswee observed that the pageant was a significant activity as one of the numerous events earmarked for the build up towards Botswana’s 50 years jubilee celebrations.
He said the North West region was honoured to host the Mr and Miss Public Service national contestant which would bring together winners from the rest of the 16 districts.
Letswee noted that the beauty pageant also served the purpose of uniting the public service.
He expressed hope that the North West region winners would win the crown at national level. ENDS
