Prominent local music promoter Gilbert Seagile affectionately known as PP in music circles has been appointed Botswana Music Union’s (BOMU) project coordinator.

In an interview BOMU president Michael Mmusi confirmed Seagile’s appointment and said the move was part of their ambitious plan to transform the union.

“We are currently undergoing transformation.

The introduction of the position of project coordinator will help us coordinate all BOMU activities, source funds for the organisation, proposal preparation as well as aligning the organisation with the corporate world,” he said.

Seagile brings a wealth of experience to the BOMU family having been at the helm of music promotion for the past 15 years.

He has also been instrumental in philanthropy after launching a strategy that was aimed at cultivating the spirit of self-reliance and fight poverty amongst young people.
