Music has been used by artists to pour their hearts out and in the process reveal deep seated secrets to the public.

Kebonyeone Kenalemang, 39, of Kanye is one such artist who has laid bare his thoughts through song in his debut 13 track Afro-Pop offering.

The first track: Nna ke di bonye, which is also the title track of the album sets the tone for the album.

In this song, Kenalemang narrates details of the story of his life; the unsurmountable hurdles life has thrown at him.

O ntlogeletseng is the question he throws to God in this track, perhaps to show the heavy weight he has had to shoulder in his life.

Also in this song, Kenalemang calls on people to bear each other’s loads.

Sparkling diamond is another nicely arranged song. It is a love song about two people that in love

“This song is about the treasure of my heart, this woman who has become the only solace after being ditched by my former fiancée,” he says.

In track six, Dream, Kenalemang sings about his vision and the fact that people need each other in order to attain their aspirations in life.

He further expresses gratitude towards everybody that has had a hand towards the release of his album.

Bassop, the seventh track is fast paced, and Kenalemang uses it to send warning bells to people who like poking their noses in other peoples businesses.

The artist loves the way President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama runs the country. “He is a people’s person and a pioneer of many life changing initiatives.

Where have you seen a head of state who plays soccer with his people?” he asks.

Kenalemang has urged the public to scorn piracy in all its forms and to buy authentic music, adding that it has the potential to boost and diversify the country’s economy. ENDS
