It is often said that dynamite comes in small packages.

For Kagiso Madibana the saying is the best potrayal of her.

The 28-year-old recently released a book, a 75 page novel titled Tales from the heart of Botswana, Baareng’s journey.

She describes the novel as a book of hope to those going through hard times and not aware that they possess the potential to change their situations.

She says the book brings together diverse characters from different parts of Botswana who have had a fair share of struggles and heartaches but eventually find a way to overcome the obstacles.

“Bad things happen to everyone, it is our reaction to circumstances that determine our future,” she says.

Madibana highlighted that she always had the desire to write a book and that it took her six months to complete putting it together.

She says the book is well received in the market and that more people are placing orders for it.

A copy of the book sells at P95.The young author says the book can be found both online through Amazon publishers and University of Botswana Bookstores.

Currently she is working on producing a mobile application for the book to tap into the digital world.

She plans to embark on a literature drive campaign which targets junior and senior students in remote areas.

She says the campaign’s main aim is to cultivate the culture of reading among students. Madibana highlights that most students have the desire to write books, but do not have a conducive platform to do so. Ends
