Every event scheduled for this year is one way or the other allied to Botswana’s silver jubilee celebrations. 

On Saturday February 27 the Francistown Rugby Club hosted the first edition of the Togetherness celebrations which marked the beginning of the organisers to tour the breadth and length of the country.

The launch of the celebrations hosted the most exuberant performers to ever pop out of the Botswana music industry in the likes of the ever energetic DJ LA Timmy, and one of the most successful artist in Botswana Vee Mampeez, the Yarona FM Music Awards winners of best new comer MMP Family, Dr Tawanda, Team Distant, Scar, Dramaboi and local DJs including DJ Sid aka Monnamogolo, amongst others.

The Vaya Orlando hit maker, Dr Malinga from South Africa also had revellers eating from his palm and the Francistown based traditional dance group, Bana Bana Ba Ntogwa did not miss the opportunity to impress.

The event was a success as revellers braved the rain to grace occasion. 

Attendance was prove that Francistowners receive every event, be it sport, performing arts or any other event that basically bring them together with greatness.

The experience of different neon lighting also gave the crowd pleasure. 

One of the organisers, Solly Reikeletseng showed gratitude to the success of the event.

At the end of their performances, artists demonstrated appreciation at the event’s turn out to and thanked the people of Francistown for making the show a success. Ends
