Author Lindo Morolong has donated 100 copies of his book worth P10 000 to Jwaneng schools in an endeavour to help youngsters tackle life issues.
Speaking during the donation, Morolong said his book titled Insight for a victorious life demonstrates that every individual has capabilities. The eight chapter book will give the reader a direction to face daily life challenges and find solutions to them.
“This book is ideal for guidance and counselling teachers to help empower students and therefore students should read it to enrich their minds,” he explained.
Morolong said reading was vital for every individual as it uplifts the level of thinking and changes an individual’s perspective of viewing things. He said the book tells the story of a victor and how to get started or be victorious.
“It highlights the victor’s path, hands, character, mental position, challenges, his/her inner self, the society he lives in and God,” he said.
He mentioned that all the chapters call for everyone to introspect and graduate to make informed life decisions.
Receiving the books on behalf of Jwaneng schools, Jwaneng mayor, Tsietsi Oodira-Kwenje applauded Morolong for the noble gesture, stating that no one has ever graduated from making mistakes, hence the vitality of the book.
He challenged students to read the book and take advantage that the author was willing to motivate and explain his book to students.
“Some of the teenagers are not open to their parents, so the book will help to correct their mistakes and cope with situations,” said Oodira-Kwenje. Ends
