Police investigate suicide

Palapye Police are investigating an incident in which a 49 year old man was found hanging from a tree near the Palapye sub land board offices.
Palapye Police Superintendent Waboraro Ramaja, said in an interview that the police suspect that the man who was certified dead on arrival at the Palapye Primary Hospital committed suicide on Sunday night adding that they do not suspect any foul play.
Meanwhile he said when the police visited his house they found his two children aged nine and 11 with serious injuries which they suspect resulted from severe beating.
The two children have been admitted at Nyangabwe Refferal hospital. The police are still investigating the cause for suicide and the children’s injuries. Ends
