Rannoko releases first gospel album
15 Feb 2016
Having passion for gospel music and reaching out to people has motivated Onalenna Rannoko, a 33 year-old gospel singer based in Francistown to release an eight track album entitled Rebolokehile.
Speaking in an interview recently, Rannoko said that the album was released at the beginning of February after being recorded at SoulBeats Records in Francistown by Saneboy Radiphophi.
The eight tracks including the Intro are Tshepo yaaka, Dihela medley, Rebolokehile, Hosana Mahodimong, Testimony, It’s amazing and Kgosi e kgolo.
All songs talk about the love of God and how through Him there can be peace and harmony amongst people.
He explained that he named the album Rebolokehile because he went through a lot of difficult times and challenges in his life, yet through it all he had a chance to experience God’s protection and salvation.
The gospel singer cited Pastor David Lerothodi of River of Light International Church in Francistown as his mentor who assisted him a lot during the recording and releasing of the album.
Rannoko said that through his album, he wants to show people that there is hope, peace, love and safety in God.
He said that he faced challenges, mostly financial issues as he is unemployed and did not have enough money to cover all the processes of releasing an album, forcing him to postpone the date for releasing the album.
The album can be found in most music stores around the country and he will be going on a tour soon to market the album.
His future plan is to work with known gospel singers such as Vusi Mtokufa and Tshepo Lesole to learn more, as she is in the process of releasing a DVD. ENDS
