The young and vibrant Svutho is a duo that was formed back in 2009, by young boys Thabiso ‘klick’ Mothibi and Thuo ‘Key’la’Kamodi. 

The two boys met in their early primary school years. 

They then formed a group called Swagg Kings, which later changed to Svutho. 

Svutho is a street slang which suggests that two is better than one, and hence emphasised by their slogan re mnate re le svutho.

Svutho, who had their first single video titled medi tsele released earlier last year, did exceptionally well and got good reception and air play on local radio stations and even aired in other African music channels. 

Ever since then their fan base has been growing. 

The duo is set to release their second single and music video titled Mosezana, a Kgalagari word which simply means girl. 

“Our music is mostly admired by ladies and since we are in the month of love, we saw it fit to produce a song that suits the concept of love, and appreciation to the ladies,” said Key’la and Klick. 

The music video which is to be released soon, was directed by Riz Zimmerman, a young aspiring film director, rapper and music producer from Namibia.

They have worked hard to refine their skill, and have already been through the challenges of the local music business.

 They said one of their biggest challenges was untrustworthy promoters who want to make profit off their talents, and fail to compensate for performances or meet their demands.

Svutho went on to say they find motivation from Ghanzi where they originate and support from their families, friends and simple concepts and lifestyle, make it easy for people to appreciate and understand their music. 

They have been in and out of the studio working on new material for their upcoming mix tape titled (O.L.A-Only Ladies Allowed), and Mosezana will be a mere taste of what they are cooking up. The mixtape will include features from the likes of Flo Cater, DN Ace and production features from Riz Zimmerman, Dennis Lord etc. Ends
