Woman appears in court for murder

The Broadhurst Magistrate Court, on Monday January 19, remanded in custody the second accused person in the murder of two Thamaga sisters.
Bakang Godisang, who is facing two counts of murder and arson together with her friend Caroline Gwamolumba, who was not before the court because of medical reasons, was sent back to prison after the court was informed that investigation were still on.
Gwamolumba was reported to be in South Africa, where she had gone for treatment, but neither the police nor her lawyer knew the date of her return.
Meanwhile Godisang told the court before she was hastily stopped by the magistrate that she did not understand why she was being brought to court as an accused while the police had made her to write a confession statement and they promised to turn her into an accomplice witness.
It is reported that Godisang and Gwamolumba on December 23, 2015 went to Block 3 location in Gaborone where they torched Gwamolumba's love rival who was sleeping in the house with her younger sister.
The big sister, Tuelo Mokgalo and her sister Kgalalelo Mokgalo sustained serious injuries and died on December 31, 2015 and January 1, 2016 respectively. Tuelo, who was heavily pregnant by the time of the attack,gave birth while on injuries. The next court date is February 1,. BOPA
