10 Dec 2015

Two suspects were on December 9 arraigned on the suspected ritual murder of former Molepolole Magistrate Court intern, Ms Nthabiseng Motlogelwa.

They appeared before Magistrate Lindiwe Makgoro in Molepolole.

The duo, in addition to another two who were arraigned last week, are Moetapele Kgololo (32) of Kgaimena ward and Mosimanegape Terrence Moatshe (40) of Phalane ward in Molepolole.

The two, who appeared last week before the same court were Keeagile Sekwati (30) and Mojalemotho Sekwati both of Phuthadikobo ward in Molepolole.

Briefing the court on the latest arraignment of the two suspects, prosecutor, Inspector Uyapo Koketso of Molepolole police noted that the matter was scheduled for December 17.

However, the prosecution requested that it be called yesterday for the two suspects to be charged. He also asked the court to charge the two and reserve plea.

Inspetor Koketso further applied that the two be remanded in custody as investigations were still at an initial stage. He said some suspects had not yet been arrested, therefore they feared that , if released, the arrested suspects, might interfere with police investigations.

Meanwhile when asked if they had something to say, accused three, Kgololo told court that on alleged dates of the incident he was attending to the mechanical repair of his boss's vehicle while his co-accused being accused four told court that on the alleged date he was staying at Hatsalatladi.

According to the charge sheet, the four accused together with others not yet arrested between October 24 and 30 this year at or near Mpadithata lands near Mogonono in the Kweneng District acting jointly in concert murdered Ms Motlogelwa.

She was buried on October 31 and almost a month later the police managed to arrest some suspects.

The accused were remanded in custody and will appear before court on December 17. Ends
