Ten contestants took to the cat walk to battle it out to be crowned the first ever Little Miss Princess of the World Botswana. The first routine was a presentation of the contestants, wearing black pants with white tops.
The show was highly placed, for a teen age at least considering the youngest of the pack was ten years of age, one would at first glance mistake it for senior contestant. The second routine was a game changer, the first was more entailing with their cat walk and being mindful of their skills in the aisle.
The Second round was a performing routine, a part were participants were tasked to showcase their talents whether through dancing, singing or reciting a poem.
First act, was staged by the second princess Lekana and set the hallway ablaze. She did a dance performance, a polka dance with male companion. The two creamed together, displaying incredible dance moves a performance that won her a standing ovation.
It was only that moment when princess Tshephang took to the stage, she performed a song by Nathi, the popular and trending Novula.
For her age and singing a female version of a male song that was an epic piece that got her the attention of the five panel judges.
The stakes were pushed high, for the spectators most cheers were alluded to Tshephang and Lekana. A very audacious ten year old displaying immense talents among her older counterparts.
At the end of it all, Tshepang won the title while Wedu came second and Lekana on third position. Prior to the title announcement Tshephang won the Miss Talent and Teen titles. While Lekana and Wedu also won young Miss Princess and Miss Congeniality respectively.
She said she was humbled by the numbers in which the young ladies came out to try their luck. “I am flattered by the young women who attended the auditions, this shows people are now recognising the arts as something one can make a living out of it,” she said.
For her part, the crowned princess said she was motivated to join the pageant by her mother and credited her for what she have archived.
