Young local deejay soars

Just at the age of 19, Larona Gasennelwe known as Deejay Zoski in music circles is soaring beyond his expectations.
Despite his young age, Gasennelwe is now traversing the length and breadth of the country and the international market through music.
His adoration and passion for music seemingly touched and unlocked doors of opportunities for him.
“I started in 2010 performing with a DVD player because I did not have equipment,” said deejay Zoski highlighting how his voyage started.
He said he met an entertainment mogul in Kanye, Laone Morebodi affectionately known as Dilaoza of Dilaoza fame who recruited and groomed him to become a song bird of world class.
He said his first performance at Quthing District in Lesotho was a thriller in a come together session in 2013 where he performed alongside one of South Africa's finest artistes, Problem Child and Thubzin the Heavy Drummer.
He also recollects some of his breakthrough performances alongside South Africa's greatest musicians; Uhuru, Naakmusiq and Shota.
He said his good effort has granted him slots in the Flight 326 and 180 Experience shows on RB2 hosted by Captain Sean on Saturdays at 530pm to 6pm and on Tuesdays at 2am to 230 am.
Deejay Zoski said at his leisure time he produces birthday mixes preferably House music but noted that he is also flexible to play RNB and hip hop music.
He said Botswana's top deejays in the likes of DJ Chabo, Ricky Lamar, Team Distant and DJ Gouviea are a source of inspiration for him.
The elated DJ has also managed to produce a hit single Shoberr Touch available online featuring Era Boy and Bibo Bro.
He dreams of scooping a top music Grammy award in 2020, adding that he can only do that through hard work and pursuing his dream. “I encourage fellow youth to use their talent because the secret behind success is self-confidence, hard work and patience,” he said. ENDS
