Maun police are investigating an incident in which a 28-year-old woman was found dead in a toilet at one of the bars at Thito ward.

Officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Chabaesele Kesupetswe said in an interview that the deceased who originates from Thito ward was found by the bar assistants on Wednesday (December 2) morning when they reported for work. He said the woman was found  lying in a pool of blood vomiting and was  rushed to  Letsholathebe Memorial hospital by the police where she was certified dead on arrival.

The police are awaiting postmortem to establish what could have been the cause of death. Still in Maun, a 34-year-old woman is fighting for her life at Letsholathebe hospital after her boyfriend stabbed her with a piece of bottle on the head and shoulders at a bar. The suspect was arrested and would be charged for unlawful wounding.
