New era dawns for Kefilwe

22 Nov 2015

It takes a lot for an artiste to release an album and share their work with the world without having fears of what people will think .

Music is a universal language and people interpret it in different ways, but at the end of the day, it is something that has the power to unify or divide people.

BOPA had the chance to attend a listening session of one Kefilwe Radovic, who goes by the stage name of Princess and her offering is simply a cut above the rest in Botswana’s local RnB scene.

Her album is titled Here Now with 10 tracks that are incredibly awesome and the production on the whole album is top notch.

Princess’s vocals on the album are so amazing, they are pure and melodious.

There is a song on the album titled Hello and the instrumentals are delightful and one falls in love with how she pays homage to people that paved the way for her in the music industry in the song Re a Leboga.

Another song that stands out from her album is Body which features rapper The Barber, who murdered the rap on the song.

One gets a feel of her contemporary influences that are reminiscent of Zama Jobe, but she has her own flair.

One other song that catches the ear is I love You which is absolutely amazing and reinforces the fact that the production on the album is immaculate and worth buying.

She has the potential to be a noteworthy export and definitely a pleasant addition to the local music industry and she sounds like she was born for this.

She revealed in an interview that the album is only available on iTunes, but she will try making copies available for those that may not have the necessary tools to access iTunes.

She indicated that it has been a long journey in the music industry having worked with various artists before and learning a few tricks along the way.

One can only wish that Batswana support her as the album is a must have and she is greatly talented and she will go far. Ends
