The Boteti Youth Office in collaboration with TSD & Associates an event management and talent management consultancy will hosting the first ever Boteti Youth Arts Festival in Letlhakane from November 20 to 28.

The multi-faceted festival would be meant to celebrate  the youth and would also be dedicated to creating opportunities for the youth to pursue creative talents.

The event would comprise an intriguing schedule of events to be held in a variety of venues in Letlhakane.

In an interview, event organiser Seeletso Radifalana,  said  during visual artists, painters and drawers, poets and comedians as well as theatre groups from the region will compete.

She said this would be fun, yet highly creative activity that would boosts the artists’ imagination. The end products, paintings and drawings will be displayed during the final marking of the products.

“Other creative arts performances such as poetry, singing, comedy, dance, rap, and theater are currently open for registration.” she said.

She also revealed that 10 DJs would battle it out in an epic DJs competition with the ultimate winner getting cash prices.

“Working with the sub-district disability office, the disadvantaged members of the society, disabilities, visual and hearing impaired and intellectually challenged youth have been allocated a category to compete in,” she stated. 

She said the event will foster a legacy of fellowship, entertainment and most importantly pride in our nations young.    

“Whether participating in the poetry competition or getting a sneak peek at the newest trends in dance and popular culture at the creative arts show, the Youth Festival will be an exhilarating experience from beginning to end, each event during the youth celebration promises to cater to all attendees.” she said.
