Wellio to Represent Botswana

Botswana will host the 4th Mr Africa title billed for this festive season on the third of December, after crowning of Mr Ideal Botswana, Joseph Wellio this past weekend.
The director of First Model Kefilwe Mukokomani revealed that they are ready to host the pageant for the first time. The event is expected to gather multitudes from 26 countries in Africa.
Mukokomani also explained that “events such as this one contribute to issues of national interests such as HIV/AIDS, and nation building in general.”
For his part, the Maun village born star, Wellio who will be Mr Africa Botswana told BOPA that his modeling career started in 2013 when he was still at the university.
Wellio who is a software engineering graduate has participated in some of the big local events such as the Wedding expo. He went on to reveal that he made it to the Top 3 on Mr Idle Botswana because he was prepared for the event and his aim now is to make sure that he brings the crown home.
He also explained that for one to make it in such competitions its need confidence and good personal skills.
The organisers of the event will also equipped Wellio to do a community project in his country as one of the event requirements therefore they explained that due to time constraints the representative will carry out a project at BONA youth centre in Old Naledi where he will donate food hampers through the help of Choppies stores.
Mr Africa is supported by Renault Africa as a major sponsor and the will take care of Wellio’s transport costs community projects. Ends
