Samantha Mogwe dazzles
08 Nov 2015
Having launched her first debut album Transitions a couple of weeks ago, Samantha Mogwe continues to cement her place as a top notch performer.
On Friday night (November 6), Samantha has sure been tipped for great things and having been the opening act for South African songstress Lira at the Mascom Live session, she nailed her performance and showed everyone she was not to be taken lightly.
Mascom Live Sessions, which have become synonymous with Botswana Craft, always deliver awesome entertainers who leave revellers asking for more.
Clad in a very stunning Chinese design dress, Samantha commanded the stage and moved with great elegance.
She dished out her popular tracks, Loud, Remember Me and You, to a lot of screams from the crowd.
The highlight of the songbird’s performance, which sent people into a frenzy, was when she sang her popular single, ‘Transitions’, which saw Zeus make a surprise entrance on the stage.
With her amazingly beautiful face and body, Samantha is exceptionally talented and she can only go one way; up.
On came Lira after Samantha was done, wearing a very lovely top and denim, with her ever smiling face.
Having made a tremendous switch from her days with Arthur Mafokate’s stable, Lira has become an international artiste and sort after the world over.
Her irresistible blend of R&B, Jazz and African styles had the crowd eating from her amazing bowl of songs that have got her various nominations and awards over time.
She truly has evolved in the music industry and has reportedly launched her new single in America.
Mascom Live Sessions along with Botswana Craft never disappoint in bringing world class artists to Botswana and they have set the bar very high.
That should surely have local promoters aspire to do the same if not surpass such a high standard.
One cannot even wait for November 20 when Botswana Craft host award winning singer from the UK Joss Stone, along with Botswana’s own Abigail Isa and The Contrabanditz.
Time management, organisation, sound quality and security have truly become second nature to Mascom Live Sessions. ENDS
