Lenyalo lena hits shelves

Bobonong youngsters are steadily making their way into the music scene by dropping new albums one after the other. 

After The Mood, Victor Kootshotse aka Modo wa Senganga has dropped another album dubbed Lenyalo Lena. The smashing album comprises eight tracks.

Having been brewed at Cabido Music Productions, the Afro-Pop album is a mixed bag of old school music fused with modern tunes, making it heavily messaged in such as way that people from all walks of life can relate to,. 

Lenyalo Lena will certainly appeal to diverse audience, especially during this period of numerous wedding celebrations.

The songs such as Lenyalo Lena, O inyadisitse and Fugama are likely to steal the hearts of many.  

The 24-year-old Modo said his love for music dated as far back as his junior secondary school days.

“I was passionate about music and my parents bought me a music system with which I started honing my skills as a disc jockey.”

It was then that some people started noticing his talent and never missed his gigs as they found his style irresistible. “Mind you I do not only play, but also dance to the tunes,” said Modo.

It was during those days of Dee-jaying that he fell in love with kwaito kwasa music.

“I met the award winning kwaito king, Vee in 2006 and he encouraged me to follow my  passion and work hard to achieve my goal,” said Modo.

Modo gained momentum and the following year he produced his debut titled Senganga, which was released in 2009. 

“My first album was  welcomed  very  well by  music followers  and it truly introduced me to the industry as I managed  to tour with popular music groups such as Culture Spears during their Khudu album launch tour,” he said.

Modo, who is studying studying for a Degree  in Sound Engineering at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology,  said he has managed to share the stage and interact  with both local and international artistes in the likes of Disco queen, Patricia Majalisa, Neo Maphaka of CJB, Slindile, Thabile Mazolwana, Bongile and Peacock.

In  2013 he  started taking his music career further by starting his own record label, VGK Studios Production  and  so far he has produced music for groups such as Katara Tsa Moya, Success Gospel Group, Schooza and Mash Guls. Ends
