Fifteen male contestants from different regions of Botswana will on October 31 slug it out in Mr Ideal Botswana 2015 competition at the Three Dikgosi monument with the winner then going on to compete at the upcoming Mister Africa International 2015 to be held at Fairground Holdings.

Speaking in an interview, Victor Phofhedi, who is the coordinator of the event, said the event is tailored to showcase the talent and culture of Batswana through local designers.

“The event is themed Men of Virtue; Endorsing Family Values as a Lifestyle and the main objective of the event is to pick a Motswana representative to compete at the upcoming Mister Africa International 2015 among 31 other African countries,” he said.

He indicated that Mister Africa International has been held in London for the past three years and it will be the first time it is hosted in Africa when it comes to Botswana on December 3.

“First Models Management are the hosts of this event and we won the bid against Ghana to bring Mister Africa International to Africa, and we are hosting it at Fairgrounds Holdings on December 3,” he said.

He said he is hopeful the eventual winner of Mr Ideal Botswana 2015 will hold his own among other competitors from Africa. Ends
