Sehithwa police are investigating a murder incident in which a 25-year-old man killed his uncle.
The station commander, Superintendent Zakes Masike said in an interview that the incident took place at Xhangora settlement near Tsau.
He said the 35-year-old deceased met his ordeal after he tried to reprimand his nephew who was used to stealing his property. He said the suspect stole some bags of cement belonging to his uncle and the uncle took the suspect’s shoes and hid them.
Superintendent Masike said upon hearing that the uncle had hidden his shoes, the suspect went berserk, took a gun and shot his uncle on the chest.
The neighbours reported the matter to the police who on arrival found the deceased lying in a pool of blood. The police rushed the deceased to Letsholathebe II Memorial hospital where he was certified dead.
Superintendent Masike said they managed to arrest the suspect and would be charged for murder.
In Toteng, the police chief reported that a 15-year-old boy raped a 70 year-old woman.
He said the old woman who stayed alone opened a window because of the high temperatures and the boy went through the window at night raped her and ran away.
