A 19-year-old  man of Diphiring in the Southern District has appeared before Kanye magistrate, Ms Venincia Moruakgomo for a single count of unlawfully wounding.

According to particulars of the offence, the accused  Kobamelo Kgakololo unlawfully wounded  his older brother, Odirile Kgakololo, 25, by stabbing him with a sharp instrument on his left ribs.

The incident occurred after the two had an argument.

The court heard that Kobamelo said his brother was interfering on an issue with a friend that did not involve him.

The complainant is admitted at Kanye Seventh Day Adventist hospital in a critical condition, while the accused is under police custody pending police investigations.

The accused will appear again for mention on 29 October.
