Jah Prayzah stole the show with an incredible performance at the Gaborone International Music and Culture week (GIMC) music festival at the National Stadium over the weekend. Local line up included Scar, Charma-gal, Eskimos, Mafitlhakgosi and Drama Boi.

Even though the event was poorly attended, the numbers did not discourage artists from pulling their best performances. 

Eskimos raised the bar for the evening session. Dressed in all white, the G-wawa boys took their fans on a contemporary journey with a taste of their new songs from their latest offering, Glory. However, Jah Prayzah delivered the best performance of the night. 

His energetic and elegant performance was top notch. The Zimbabweans residing in Botswana came out in large numbers and easy to pick them out by the military regalia they were wearing in support of Prayzah.

Charma-gal was not to be out classed on home ground. She also put up a splendid performance. She performed the hit, Sekuta sa ga Charma and Balatedi ba Ekentolo. 

Female rapper Sarona ‘Sasa Klaas’ Motlhagodi had her fans eating the palm of her hand. Mafikozolo and Khuli Chanawere also outstanding. Mafikizolo, the duet of Nhlanhla Nciza and Theo Nkwe, brought their A game into the stage, displaying a beautiful combination of colours with their costume.

A pat on the back should go to artists for pulling off exceptional performances. The music festival marked day four of the GIMC followed by a jazz music session at BotswanaCraft on Sunday. Ends
