With his hit single Kanisuni, Daniel ‘Danny’ Mmemo’s music career is soaring beyond his expectations.

The 24-year-old gospel rapper from Lerala told BOPA that Kanisuni is his very first single from his upcoming album A.F.R.I.CA, and they had already released a video for it. He noted that the song was produced by Tribal Tiido and Suffocate under Roc Lefatshe Records.

Already, he said the song was causing a buzz outside Botswana as international radios had requested it. Further, he said it topped some charts online, which was a step in the right direction.

Mmemo added that his concept as a spiritual person was to remain true to his faith and would not trade it for anything.

He said his love and passion for music was inspired by growing around musical people and was also motivated by the likes of Vee Mampeezy, Stika Sola, Maxy and Mingo. Kanisuni hit maker noted that he is planning to use vigorous marketing to sell his music to reach his set goals.

Mmemo’s greatest achievement in the music industry is being able to mingle with the very people he used to look up to. He also noted that one thing that he wishes he could change in the music industry, was the perception that uncouth language and sex sells in music.

He said it was hard to tell a difference between a pornographic video and a music video nowadays.  Meanwhile, Mmemo has promised his fans that in the coming months, he is dropping another new hit single and embark on a musical tour in August. Ends
