UDC retains Good Hope-Mabule

The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) has retained the Good Hope-Mabule constituency.
UDC’s Kgosi Lotlaamoreng II won the August 15 parliamentary bye-election with 6 152 votes.
Botswana Democratic Party’s Mr Eric Molale came second with 4 372 and Mr Comfort Maruping of Botswana Congress Party came third with 385. There were 131 spoilt votes.
A total of 11040 people voted in the bye-election. The parliamentary seat became vacant when Mr James Mathokgwane resigned due to personal reasons. ends
