The search for Miss Vision 2016 began last weekend with the Gaborone auditions whose turnout, however was not satisfactory. 

With less than a year left to celebrate its vision 2016, this year’s pageant is said to be a preparation to the expected highly converted Miss Vision 2016 of the actual year 2016. However the Gaborone efforts to attract the beauties were futile as the day clashed with Miss Botswana, Gaborone auditions.

Organised by Hopeful Souls in partnership with Vision 2016 council, the operations manager Moremi Mogotetsi, said they were neither disgruntled nor disheartened, as they still had more chances to recruit.

“We are not turned aback by the low turnout. We still remain hopeful in our endeavour as we still have other areas to visit,” he said.

Miss Vision 2016 gives the winning beauty a chance to excel in their dreams up to the national scale. It presents an opportunity for the young adult woman to impart, share knowledge to youth about aspects of life and opportunities available to them.

As the scouting team embark into the journey of finding Miss Vision 2016, auditions are scheduled for Francistown, Selebi Phikwe, Palapye and Maun.

Sponsors, in support of this expected prestigious event are Hotel Labama and Amongi Café. The Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture has also partnered to give the platform a national appeal. Ends
