Ghetto Urban Designs are set to host the annual Cultural Family Reunion Wellness Week from June 19-20.

The two-day event, which would be staged in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Kyalame Industries, would be aimed at promoting wellness in the workplace, at home and in the society.

Also, the event would be held at Jwaneng (Galaxy grounds) where Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso is expected to officiate.

In an interview, Ghetto Urban Designs managing director, Thato Sebati said the event would also include corporate and government organisations. 

Such organisations, Sebati said, would set up stalls where they would educate, inform and entertain the masses.

He added that the event would also attempt to address issues such as the role of the media, alcohol abuse, youth indiscipline, domestic violence, drug abuse, and disrespect for elders among others.

Further, Sebati said there would also be an orientation and a sponsored walk on June 15 as a build-up to the wellness week.

Meanwhile, Sebati has encouraged organisation leaders to buy tickets for staff members, families as well as the public as a way to raise funds and moral support.

He indicated that tickets are sold at P300 each day, P500 for the evening while VIP ticket sold at P1000.

Ghetto Urban Designs are pioneers of most cultural events that sensitise the public on the importance of culture and family in accordance to the Setswana Culture and roots. Ends
