A gospel group, Joyful Ambassadors Gospel Group (JAGG), which consists of 12 youth singers will next month release a live recorded single entitled Oa ntshegofatsa.
JAGG’s mandate is to spread the gospel through singing and giving praises to God hence changing people’s lives through the music as the JAGG’s motto goes “Changing Lives with Gospel Music”.
The gospel group whose mentor is one other than South African gospel artiste, Winnie Mashaba operates under the management of Otukile Entertainment which was founded in November 2014 by Lerato Otukile.
In an interview, Otukile said the group has been rehearsing for the past three months hence the upcoming live recorded single.
The group’s owner and manager, Otukile said their aim was to discover and explore the riches of the home grown talent in the gospel music area. And also to unleash hidden talent from youth and empower them by providing them an opportunity to be recognised and become well trained professional artists or musicians.
Otukile lamented that the gospel music industry is not taken seriously as other genres, hence the formation of the entertainment to contribute to the development of the industry.
“Joyful Ambassadors is a live performing group and intends releasing a recorded album in November, this year. For now, JAGG will release a single which is already recorded and ready to be released on the 1st of June,” she said.
Lerato said that they want Batswana to taste the talent the country has. “There is so much talent in this country and all we need to do is to explore and support it, particularly the corporate organisations,” she added.
She also called Batswana to support them because without that support their talent would just vanish, adding that JAGG is now ready for live performances. ENDS
