CompuCare donates to Motokwe Primary School

Motokwe Primary school has been urged to put to good use the five computer sets and learning software donated to the school.

Speaking during the handing over of the equipment worth P40 000, the Letlhakeng sub-region chief education officer, Mr Myson Mbuso said the school had been performing poorly for years and urged the staff to up their game and improve the results.

Mr Mbuso noted that the donation came at the right time when news strategies were needed to address the problem of poor performance by the school.

He said since the inception of Adopt-a-School initiative different companies and individuals have shown interest in making the initiative a success.

The chief education officer also urged the school management to work with retired civil servants to exchange ideas on how best to develop Motokwe Primary School. He said retired civil servants are vital to development as they possess different skills which could help improve the school performance.

For his part, the managing director of CompuCare, Mr Sheikh Ibrahim said they donated computer sets and learning software to the school to promote vision 2016 pillar of an educated and informed nation.

Mr Ibrahim said their partnership with the school would run for five years, as they would continue to service and maintain the computers.  He added that additional computers would be provided after five years.

”I hope these computers and educational learning software will improve students’ learning skills,” he said.

The area councilor, Ms Beauty Bogale thanked Compucare for the donation, saying the equipment would help improve the school results.

She also said government alone cannot provide everything hence the need for private sector and individuals to come on board and help develop the country.  Ends
