The big show is here again, choral music fanatics will on May 30, be treated to a variety of sweet melodious pieces by the local's Maikano Serenaders and North West University Serenaders  from South Africa.

The duo will share stage in a choral musical concert slated for Maitisong in Gaborone. The show will mark one year of official partnership between Maikano Serenaders and North West University Serenaders which started in May last year.

Maikano Serenaders public relations officer, Gosego Lesole said the partnership had greatly benefited their choir as the choir now sounded mature and doing very well performance wise.

She said preparations for the upcoming show were in full swing as the choir had already started rehearsals for the concert.

The Gaborone West - based youthful choir, is guided by its mission statement which says the choir was established “to provide the youth with an opportunity to learn, appreciate and develop their talents in music.”

The Maikano Serenaders choir first made its appearance in the local choral scenes back in 2006 which then followed a successful launch in June of 2007. ENDS
