The Village Magistrate Court today (April 10) granted Daniel Kenosi conditional bail.

Principal Magistrate Goodwill Makofi ordered that Kenosi should pay P500, report to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) every Wednesday’s between 7:30am and 4:30pm.

Kenosi was also ordered to surrender his travelling documents and produce one surety.

Assistant Superintendent Lentlhabetse Willie of Broadhurst police’s prosecution unit had earlier told the court that investigations were still on going, but the state did not oppose the bail application.

Defence lawyer, Mr Lore Morapedi of Lore Morapedi Attorneys said they accepted the bail conditions. Kenosi is charged for unlawful distribution of pornographic or obscene material contrary to Section 16 of the Cybercrime and Computer Related Crimes Act.

He was arrested on March 24 after appearing at the Village Magistrate Court on a different matter.  He will appear again for mention on May 15. Ends
