Gaborone in fashion extravaganza

08 Apr 2015

It was a night to remember for beauty and fashion enthusiasts as Charity Baaitse and Masego Kunupi hosted a 2FabHighTea event for ladies at Lansmore on April 4.

With the night billed to be a glitz and glamour type of event, women came dressed to the nines and looked beautiful. There were two fashion shows at the event; one by Charity Baaitse which was done by her shop Material Galz and the other fashion show was done by SPUNK from South Africa.

“SPUNK is a South African designer who dresses celebrities and I felt Batswana ladies would benefit a thing or two because they seem to be ahead in terms of fashion,” said Charity in an interview.

A HerbalLife representative from Botswana was also at the event and taught attendants how to lose weight and stay healthy. She indicated that the idea of having a beauty and fashion fusion event was conceptualised in 2013 and also held the same year.

“This is the second time we are hosting it,” she said.

Ladies were also treated to some beauty training by Masego Kunupi, who was also a partner in the event. There was also a fashion tutorial by Palesa Mashaba who was once a fashion editor for South African magazine, True Love.

“What ladies need to understand about this event is that it is a girl’s night out and it is all about ladies. We get to dress up and mingle with each other and just be pretty,” said Charity.

She indicated that the event is not selectively geared towards young ladies, but middle aged women are also welcome.

“From girls at school to working women who all love looking good and take care of themselves, they are all welcome at the event,” she said. ENDS
