Moshupa police investigate two rape cases

Moshupa police are investigating incidents that include two rape cases, which occurred in Moshupa and surrounding areas during the Easter holidays.
According to station commander, Superintendent Oreneetse Gagogosha, a 22-year-old woman was raped by a 29-year-old man of Masasapa lands.
The victim was travelling from Pitseng to Mameru lands near Ralekgetho. The suspect was arrested and will appear before Kanye magistrate court soon.
In another case, a middle aged woman was also raped when she was from her friend’s party at Lapapa ward in Moshupa. Two suspects attacked her and one raped her in the process.
Superintendent Gagogosha explained that passersby rescued the victim before the second suspect could sexually assault her.
He said in another incident, a 20-year-old man was badly wounded at Lesosoto farms after being attacked by gangsters. They stabbed him with a sharp instrument on the back.
He said Motswedi bar in Moshupa was broken-into and beers as well as cigarettes amounting to P1 300 were stolen. He also said they arrested a 33-year-old woman for illegally selling Chibuku in Moshupa. ENDS
