Summer Xplosion reloads

One of the most prominent events, in the entertainment calendar in Botswana, promises to be a thriller, come Thursday April 2.
The event which took a break in 2012, has returned with an explosive line-up. This year, the organisers have upped their game with seven international acts, namely Black Coffee, Dj Kent, and AKA.
Also Cassper Nyovest of the Doc Shebeleza and Phumakim fame, African Roots, Naak Musiq which brought the Call out anthem in December and the most anticipated act by TradeMark (Shumaya Hit Makers).
Locally, people would look forward to the likes of ATI, LaTimmy, Team Distant, Vee, Zeus, Scar, DramaBoi, MMP Family, and Machesa Traditional Group to cater for different genres and audiences.
One of the organisers of the event, Dj Kuchi mentioned,
“We feel these artistes are the most relevant for our event as they are in everyone’s playlist both here and internationally, locally we have most artiste, and also I encouraged our local acts to perform their hit songs in a special way to make the event memorable.”
The MC’s of the event include the bubbly Dollar Mac of Yarona Fm, T.H.A.B.O the Untshwarable, and Loungo and Sadi of Flavour Dome.
In addition, Dj Kuchi said that they are excited to see what happens as AKA & Cassper Nyovest will share the stage, also legendary DJ/Producer Black Coffee, who has been all over the world recently, will take part.
He added that, “we know Dj Kent never disappoints on the decks and for drums they have African Roots who have promised to deliver.”
As well as TradeMark bringing a special performance, and Dj Kuchi has done a track with TradeMark & Zinhle Ngidi which will be performed live.
Main sponsors for this year’s Summer Xplosion Reloaded, include Dj Kuchi, Dros Gaborone, Liquorama, Agua Natural Mineral Water & Jamming Sounds. Fresh Image is in charge of the VIP section.
Further, he says they hope to see big numbers, as Summer Xplosion Reloaded is known to have a big following, and they anticipate a good turnout, also as there is interest from neighbouring countries too, as people in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe will be coming.
“We understand the location of the venue and have taken security very seriously, we have doubled our security from previous event and will also have huge assistance from police. We will have over 400 security personnel, if we have 800 people that will be one guard to 20 people.”
The event will be held at Fairgrounds Back Parking Lot and tickets are available for P150 and P300 for VIP, and are sold at Computicket and all Liquorama stores. ENDS
