Cra3 aims for stars

As the entertainment circle gets bigger, new comers to the scene are already raving the air waves.

Tefo Bachingi, a 20 year old youngster also known as Cra3 is an upcoming rap artist that resembles the likes of Young Black on the local stage and also draws inspiration internationally from Jay Z.

His six-track album titled Rise of a Young King, has an extended play (EP) titled Dreamer is an inspiration song to all artists about the hassle of life and never to give up. With an acoustic beat on the background and a fusion of a live band the EP Dreamer is surely promising to be a hit in most local radio stations. A sample of the rhyme and alliteration in the EP goes like “I was born with a crown, turned a smile into a frown, the paper is talking to me, I am a real rap makoya.”

The album also features other artists such as Finale x Abakhes, DJ Lewisky” Segaetsho and Amos “Black Jack” Moedi. It was produced by Crae and Dj Lewisky and it was also recorded, mixed and mastered at Bazamele Records and Lexbeats at Drumsonic Studios and was released under his record label Young Kings Entertainment.

Cra3 mentioned that it took him close to a week to finish the album, because since he sleeps, eats and walks Hip Hop it propelled him to take the project seriously and finish it in less than a week.

He said the inspiration behind Rise of a Young King is the positive energy that he gets from the people he surrounds himself with. As a Hip Hop artist he also wanted to encourage people to strive to acquire their dreams. Further, he said that the album was doing well and has exceeded his expectations as it is to play on Radio Botswana and RB2.

Also to date it has more than 800 downloads, on Data File Host, it is available on Data File Host and Hulk Fair Dattiff website. The young rapper has also expanded his horizons of rap culture by introducing a clothing label titled DareToDream Clothing which he Co-founded with Letlhogonolo Tupane. He recently joined Head Space which is a local show by Yarona Fm to promote rap culture and select the best local rapper.

Cra3 added that this competition is a platform for his career to advance and also to know his competitors in the market. ENDS
