Valentine with celebrities

10 Feb 2015

As the month of love has enveloped society, hearts and flowers dominate conversations and smileys of all sweet nothings punctuate smses.

BOPA peeps into the minds of four celebrated guys to get their idea of Valentine’s Day.

BK Proctor, producer and vocalist

KM: How will you be celebrating Valentine’s Day?

BK: I have never gotten to fully understand the actual meaning of Valentine’s Day but from what I have seen over the years, many people exchange cards, gifts, flowers, candy with their loved one. However for me it is a day just like any other, I spend it home cooking, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

KM: What is the best advice you ever got on love and women?

BK: It would be understanding that; You choose to give away your love and no matter how long you have been waiting, the woman God has for you will not surpass your expectations. You will meet her when God says so. Not a minute early, not a moment later.

KM: How would you impress a lady you really like?

BK: I personally think that most men feel a very powerful desire to impress women but I believe the secret to really make a long-lasting impression on a woman is to keep the humour going. The most important thing a man can do to impress a woman is to make her feel a powerful emotional attraction for you. So that is what I will do.

KM: What personality traits do you look for in a partner?

BK: She has to be confident, intelligence, good humoured, supportive, accommodating, patient, sensual, and honest, open minded and health Conscious.

KM: What is the one thing you would never understand about women?

BK: I cannot really recall exactly how old I was when I learned that I would probably spend the rest of my life trying to understand women! And to-date I still do not understand why women take everything out of one bag and put in another bag, and they do this all the time. Seriously, why not just have one purse?

KM: Describe your perfect date with your ideal partner?

BK: I believe it would be something unexpected, original and romantic, something elaborate that we can both enjoy, something that caters for both our tastes. If we are both having a great time, laughing and having plenty of opportunity to get emotionally and physically closer, it would be an ideal if not perfect date

Lizibo, afro soul musician

KM: How will you be celebrating Valentine’s Day?

LIZIBO: I would defiantly book my lady a massage, bubble bath in my room as I will be performing that night meaning I will be her misuse for the rest of the night after singing for her all night long, but since I am single that is what I would defiantly do for her.

KM:What is the best advice you ever got on love and women?

LIZIBO: I was taught that a true woman loves who you are not what you are.

KM: When you write your songs, is it for the ladies or both ladies and men?

LIZIBO: Ha ha ha…essentially for the greatest gift to mankind which is “WOMAN.”

KM: How would you impress a lady you really like?

LIZIBO: I would most likely be myself so she falls for the real me, I am the type of guy who loves to see a woman smile so I would make her laugh.

KM: What personality traits do you look for in a partner?

LIZIBO: I look for sense of belonging in a woman, one that understands that God is love, one that believes in family and most of all one that understands her culture, .big turn on!

KM: Describe your perfect date with your ideal partner?

LIZIBO: My perfect date if I was dating……would definitely some Michael Buble playing in the background, slow dancing under the stars with candle lighting, sipping on some white sparkling wine as we cook a meal together ending the night with telling one another the staff we love and appreciate each other for.
