Police chief advises cash loans to protect businesses 8232

Cash loan enterprises have been cautioned and urged to engage security services in their businesses.
Sejelo Police Station Commander Superintendent Sello Ntwaagae, indicated in an interview that some of the cash loans keep a lot of money in the drawers behind the counters yet security agents are always not available.
He pleaded with cash loan owners to engage securities in their businesses to reduce rampant armed robbery cases.Superintendent Ntwaagae urged businesses to take personal responsibility of their lives, employees and their valuable businesses.
This comes after the arrest of three suspects last week for armed robbery and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition amongst other offences.
Criminals robbed Roshville Investments Cash Loan on January 29 and escaped with over P87 000.
Three suspects were later arrested while two others are still at large. During a shoot-out with the police, one suspect died while the other one was seriously injured and was admitted in Princes Marina Hospital.
A 30-year-old constable who hails from the North East District also died later at Bokamoso Private Hospital having been shot by the robbers.Police have recovered cash amounting to over P73 000 while investigations continue with the arrested suspects in custody. ENDS
