Tonota police probe woman's death

Tonota police are investigating death of a 29-year-old woman of Dimajwe in the Central District.
In an interview, station commander, Superintendent Kenanao Badumetse said the incident was reported from Sepalola cattle post on January 30 by a 35-year old man who is also a suspect in the matter.
He said the suspect, who is the deceased's boyfriend and father of their nine months old baby, had a misunderstanding with the girlfriend at a drinking place. Supt Badumetse said the misunderstanding allegedly led to a fight in which the woman became unconscious only to be certified dead at the hospital the following day.
He said the suspect was helping police with investigations and he appeared before the Francistown Magistrate on February 2. Ends
