Police investigate office break-in

01 Feb 2015

Good Hope police are investigating an incident in which 31 offices at Rural Administration Centre (RAC) were broken into and equipment amounting to P31 000 was reported missing.

Station commander, Superintendent Mogomotsi Kwapa said in an interview that the incident was reported by security guards. He said the missing equipment included five laptops, four projectors and one video camera and its tripod.

However, he said the police search team had recovered a video camera, three projectors and one tripod abandoned in the backyard of the premises and that reduced the amount of missing equipment to about P16 000.

“We have no suspect and have not made any arrest yet,” he said, adding that investigations were still ongoing as they still had to contact officers who most of them were away for a weekend.  ENDS
