DJ Rood Van Estos dreams big

An upcoming producer and deejay, Obakeng Ramokate known as Deejay Rood Van Estos seeks to take the music industry in Botswana by storm.
The talented young star`s love for music started at an early age, now at 22 years, he is an accomplished musician who plays piano, trumpet and a guitar.
In an interview, the upcoming star says his passion lies with producing electronic dance music popularly known as EDM and his style is characterised by the melodies of trace, the groove of house and heavy distorted sounds of electro. Judging by his talent, the Kanye born lad has a bright future ahead of him and would surely usher in great things to local music scene.dreamsbigHe currently operates without a manager or an agent.
In 2013, the gifted star, collaborated with Dett Ponalty (BW) and produced the If Tomorrow Never Comes single which became a hit in South African airwaves.
In the same year, Ramokate decided to coin stage name; “Rood Van Estos” with intention to take electronic dance music in Botswana to another level, and formed a crew named Forget The World together with two other producers namely; Ponalo Motswiri known as DettPonalty in the music industry and Bogolo Jermaine Tlhoafetsi known as Jermaine.
Deejay Rood Van Estos has worked with local producers among them; Jozi Straight, Dhers Republiq, Jason Gold and Deejay Franchiser of South Africa and Mathew Liliwhyte from United Kingdom.
His collaboration with DJ Franchiser and Dhers Rep produced the single;Project X which became a hit in South African radio stations.
In October 2014, Forget The World crew experienced one of the highlights of their relatively new career as they produced their latest offering; Good Morning Botswana.
None other than Liliwhyte signed the track at his own record label which was a great deal for the crew.
Deejay Rood Van Estos noted that despite numerous hits, releases and novelties, this year marks the beginning of big things for him and crew.
The crew specialises in Euro House, Big Room, Progressive House and Dutch House. They are inspired by artistes such as Deejay Kuchi, German Dollar, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Blaster Jaxx, Wand W, Diniti Vegasand Like Mike, Pascal and Peace, Afrojack, Harwell and others.
Currently Deejays Rood Van Estos and Franchiser are working on their upcoming single dubbed Fade to be released in April.
Deejay Rood Van Estos said the crew’s record label is Dutch Recordings and managed by Soulhlopes and encouraged their fans to support them through their Facebook page www.facebook.com/forgettheworld.bw.
He encouraged other upcoming musicians to focus on what they believe in. ENDS
