Elvivo releases Hamba

One of Botswana upcoming house artist Elvivo has released an album titled Hamba.

The six tracked album takes off with a track called hamba which when translated into Setswana means tsamaya and the song also addresses challenges people experience during their journey of life.

Other songs includes Elvivo, Mapompane, Doctor Tawanda, Kevin, Ngwaga yoo.

The album was composed and produced by Elvivo together with Doctor Tawanda and it was recorded at Megabase studio in Gaborone.

In an interview with the 26 year old Bobonong born Omphile Edwin Moela narrated that his music career started in 2011.

He said his big inspiration into the music industry comes from prominent and the people’s favourite artist Vee.
Elvivo said Vee is one of the artist who has inspired him and proved that one can still be something in life without high school qualification, and God given talent can take one’s life to cloud nine.

The album is currently doing well in the market and it has already received air play on Gabs FM and the video of the track hamba is also being played on e-Botswana.

Music is my full time job and I also do performances at parties, weeding and baby showers, he lamented.

Elvivo noted that in future he would like to see his songs being played outside Botswana.

He said piracy is a big challenges faced by artistes in Botswana but he is also happy with the work done by Copyright society of Botswana in protecting artistes work. ENDS
