It was a weekend to remember for many as everybody who loves music was satisfied to the fullest during the two-day BDF concert held at Lady Khama Hall in Serowe.

The concert saw many people enjoying themselves to the best performances displayed by the army men, from traditional dance, gospel, disco, jazz to pop music the band did a marvelous job, leaving many crying for more.

Everybody was given a treat as they played all kinds of music. The performing groups included the BDF Jazz Combo, Thebephatshwa Air Base, Francistown and the SSKB.

The SSKB group did wonders on stage as they were the only group with a female member. 

Second Lt Tshegofatso Noge also showed the crowd what she was made of and gave the group a female touch with her voice and showed that indeed there were women soldiers in this country.

She sang Brenda Fassie’s Promises and gave the crowd a very beautiful performance coupled with her dance moves.

Also from SSKB was the very beautiful voice of warrant officer I Leero Gaseitsewe who sang gospel tunes like the mostly loved Modimo ore file by Spirit of Praise.

Gaseitsewe who seemed to be the favorite of the night had the audience begging for more with his impressive husky voice which serenaded the hall.

Earlier on when the show started a performance by the Corps of Engineer, a traditional group kept the crowd glued to their well-built body structures.

The group which is said to have scooped the first prize during the BDF traditional music competitions displayed very well-rehearsed and humorous stances.

Serowe SOS children’s home also did not disappoint as they had the crowd on their toes with their marimba tunes. 

The youngsters proved that they too can really entertain as they also enjoyed themselves while performing.

The BDF Band in concert style is on its 24^th year running and is in support of charitable organisations in the country.

During the concert,  Central Association of the Blind and Disabled was presented with a cheque of P20 000. ENDS
